North Korea Blast South Korea Liaison Office

Kaesong, DYOR POST
- North Korea (RRDK) detonated bombs near the inter-Korean Liaison office on the border of Kaesong, on Tuesday (16/6). South Korea (ROK) threatens to retaliate against the provocative action of Korut.

Witnesses reported a violent explosion followed by smoke clots occurring near a four-storey connecting office building in Kaesong City. The government-run Korean Central News Agency stated that the office was "tragically devastated by a great explosion".

The Carousel Ministry of Unification confirmed that the building, which indirectly became the de facto embassy, was blown up and destroyed by Korut at around 14.50 local time.

To Reuters, a South Korean military source said that there were signs of demolition of the two Korea liaison offices that would occur the previous day, and the carousel's military officials witnessed firsthand when the building exploded.
